Opening the Metal Season

On September 4, Moscow’s Live Stars club will open its doors to proclaim the start of a new metal season. Four universes will share the stage, each representing a different facet of metal.

Nox Doloris are djinns unleashed from the swamps of Saint Petersburg. In their music, Eastern motifs and ethnic instruments intertwine with the dark mythology of ancient civilizations. The band has journeyed from exploring possession and the shadows of ancient Egypt to epic soundscapes dedicated to Constantinople, creating a true horror show onstage — one impossible to look away from.

Blackthorn are a Moscow-based band that masterfully blends symphonic black metal, gothic aesthetics, and dark romanticism. Their sound is built on ghostly melodies, ethereal classical soprano vocals shifting into growling and screaming, while their occult lyrics can bewitch even the most skeptical listener.

Instorm deliver neoclassical melodic death metal, where powerful energy and dynamic riffs stand alongside high-speed solos and vivid passages inspired by classical music. It is a fusion in which academic tradition meets unrestrained heaviness, creating a sound that is both gripping and mesmerizing in its beauty.

Divahar are representatives of symphonic black metal from Armenia. Drawing inspiration from the history of their homeland, paganism, and pantheism, they channel the dark energy of ancient legends into their music, turning every performance into a mystical rite filled with power and epic grandeur.

Let’s begin autumn by diving into the world of metal!
